Sharing where you are is one of the most personal things you can do with a phone. Every control in Proximitii starts from that fact — here they all are, in plain language.
Per-friend tiers
Every friend sees you at the level you chose for them: Hidden, Nearby, or Exact. Your closest people can get the pinpoint; everyone else gets presence without it. Change any of it anytime.
Sharing that expires
Grant exact location for a few hours — meeting up, splitting up at a festival — and it shuts itself off. Temporary means temporary, without remembering to flip it back.
Hidden zones
Draw a zone around any place — home, work, anywhere — and you simply never appear there, to anyone. The places that are nobody's business stay that way.
Go invisible
One tap takes you off the map for everyone, for as long as you like. Nobody is notified, nothing is flagged, and we won't ask why.
Block & report
Blocking removes someone from your world completely and instantly. Anything shared — photos, notes — can be reported and is reviewed. No debates.
Delete everything
Delete your location history, or your entire account and all its data, from inside the app — no email, no retention tricks. Gone means gone.
- No selling your data. Not to advertisers, not to brokers, not "anonymized," not ever. Our privacy policy says it in legal words; this page says it in plain ones.
- No ads. There is nothing on the map to monetize your attention with.
- No strangers. There's no discovery, no public profiles, no "people near you." The only people who can ever see you are friends you accepted.
- No one-way tracking. Every connection is mutual and consented. There is no way to watch someone who hasn't chosen to connect with you.
- No silent switches. Nothing starts sharing on your behalf. Wider sharing is always something you turned on, and it tells you when it will turn off.

A tracking app? It'd be a terrible one.
Proximitii makes a poor surveillance tool on purpose: everything is mutual, everything is visible to the person being seen, and everything can be turned off without notice.
