Memory · history & explorer

Everywhere you've been. Year by year.

History is your life in places, under three lenses: Days — any day, rebuilt hour by hour. Trips — the nights away. Explorer — your whole world as a map of light, with a scrubber that plays it back from your first year to now.

The Explorer lens — a lifetime map with glowing dots across places, cities and states, and a year scrubber.

Days

Today builds itself as you live it — the coffee stop, the gym, the long lunch. Scroll back to any date and there it is, hour by hour.

Trips

Your nights away, auto-detected and organized — tap one and fly through it day by day.

Explorer

The lifetime view: every place you've ever been as a glowing dot, with cities, states and countries counted. Drag the scrubber and watch your world light up in order.

Relive your journey

Your trips write themselves.

A real night somewhere else quietly becomes a trip — no check-ins, no logging. Open the Trips lens and your year is already organized into the times you went somewhere: the dates, the stops, the route, the friends who appear in it.

  • Detected, not logged. A weekend away becomes a trip on its own — and a day trip across town doesn't clutter the list.
  • Fly through it. Tap a trip and walk it day by day — every stop on a map, ready to rename or fix if the app guessed a place wrong.
  • Private to you. Detected trips live in your History, and History is yours alone. Don't want one on the list? Remove it — it stays gone.
  • The album connects. Traveled with a group? The trip's Community Album sits right on it — the photos next to the map.
The History Trips lens — an auto-detected trip with dates, route, places and stats.
The fine print, plainly
  • Your history is yours alone — friends never see it. What they see is governed only by your per-friend sharing tiers, in the present tense.
  • Import your camera roll and Explorer reaches back years — using only the location metadata already on your photos. The photos themselves never leave your phone.
  • Rename places, remove visits, or delete your entire location history in one action. It's a memoir, not a ledger.
Can my friends browse my history?+
No. History is a private surface — nobody else can open it. Sharing with friends is a separate, present-tense choice made per friend, per tier.
I just downloaded the app. Won't my map be empty?+
Import your photos' location metadata and your map fills with years of places in about a minute — usually with a few surprises.
Do my friends see my trips?+
No — detected trips are part of your History, and nobody else can browse it. If you traveled with a Trip group, the only shared piece is what you opt into, like adding photos to the trip's Community Album.
